Nala Brown discovered her true passion for color guard during her freshman year of high school, trading in her athletic pursuits for the expressive artistry of spinning. Over the next four years, she dedicated herself to the Fort Zumwalt West Silver Jaguar Brigade, completing eight seasons of dynamic performances. Her commitment and leadership were recognized with the prestigious Esprit de Corps Award and the honor of serving as head captain during her senior year. She has taught at Bayless High School for one year and has spent the last three years coaching at Wentzville Holt High School. She recently expanded her leadership within the district by taking on the role of Color Guard Director for Wentzville Holt Middle School. Beyond the field, Nala is deeply committed to her academic and professional future. She is currently studying to become a dermatologist, with aspirations of becoming the CEO of her own company. As she works toward these goals, she dreams of sharing her love for color guard with the world—teaching, performing internationally, and continuing to uplift young performers through her passion and expertise. Nala’s performance career continues with La Voûte Performance Ensemble, where she has advanced to the World Class level this season.
