Jorrell Lawyer-Jefferson is a multidisciplinary artist and arts administrator with a three-season history as a dancer with Saint Louis Dance Theatre. Jorrell received his Bachelor’s in Music and his Master’s of Fine Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University, he began his color guard career with Revolution Drum and Bugle Corp (2009-2010). While pursuing his BA, Jorrell worked as the primary rifle technician at Klein Forest High School (2015 - 2019) and worked with Sam Houston State University as a movement and weapon technician. He has also performed with the Houston based organization Redemption Guard (2017). His choreography has premiered at The Met Cloisters and has created work for Detroit Opera and Houston Grand Opera. A former featured dancer with Glimmerglass Opera Festival and Houston Grand Opera, Jorrell has performed in acclaimed productions including Aida, La Traviata, and Florencia en el Amazonas.
